I travelled USA with my two sons for 3 weeks.

When I visited Washington I took the change to meet the collegues from WEF-Water Environmental Federation and AWWA-America Water Association.

I learned that the US  has 160 AWWA Water Standards, only few in wastewater.

 Germany has 530 Water Standards (DVGW 230, DWA 300).

 Research Funds are very little compared to Germany.

Energy is getting cheap in the US due the fracking situation. Energy is more expensive in Germany. US companies do have little know how about the European Standards (CEN) as far as I can see that. The collegues are very friendly, open and we will stay in contact.
